Sappi Saiccor Sulphur Dust Extraction
A 72 m² stainless steel dust extraction system for the sulphur handling plant, fitted with explosion relief panels and anti-static filter bags for the explosive product.
Fumex Engineering installed a 72 m² dust extraction system, complete with an 18.5 kW fan and ductwork, to control dust on the sulphur dust handling plant at Sappi Saiccor near Umkomaas.
The unit and ductwork were fabricated from 304 stainless steel and included a rotary valve and screw conveyor. Due to the explosive qualities of the product, the unit was fitted with explosion relief panels and anti-static filter bags.
